They still need to do their tabletop exercises and test flights, but still good news. ^

I feel like "end of January" is still optimistic. Even if the government reopens tomorrow there's still a lot of catchup work to do before they can even work on new approvals. We'll see though.

Just started an A-list challenge before I realized it's delayed yet again... At this rate I won't be able to get a single flight in before the 90 days is up

In the earnings call transcript there was mention of Hawaii plans and the impact of the government shutdown.

As for dates for Hawaii service, the fellow said:

”If the shutdown ends within a week, I think we have a reasonable chance of beginning the service in the first quarter of 2019. Otherwise, it will likely be in the second quarter.”

Ok, Southwest and FAA, you've got a 3 week window to try and make it all happen

actually just 2 weeks. Then I can register for the new Visa with instant CP before 2/11 Hawaii service is the datapoint I am waiting for before signing up....

FYI...I saw the Southwest computer monitors at the check in station in Honolulu yesterday. They had a cover over them with Southwest wording.

I wouldn't read too much into that. The ones in Maui have been there since October.

I did check southwest.com and in fact the 738 is operating the LAX OAK revenue turns per the forum poster....so i think this is pretty credible.
