Canceling an itn w/ a linked CP - Do I need to cancel CP itn or is that automatic?
I've had a couple of times in which I've needed to cancel a flight on which my designated Companion was to accompany me. Do I need to cancel the itn of my Companion separately, or is that automatic if I cancel my flight? If the cancellation of the CP fare is automatic, does the security fee get automatically refunded to my card, or does it get held for future travel?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

The taxes/fees on the companion fare are always refundable, since you can't change a flight without canceling the companion portion. Whether your taxes/fees are depends on whether you've made any changes to the original reservation.

When cancelling your ticket, the system will display both your ticket and the Companion Pass ticket and give you the options for your TTFs as well as give you the option of refunding the CP ticket segment tax or keeping it as a TTF. No need to cancel the CP ticket first. It’s all done when yours gets cancelled. I generally refund my CP ticket whenever I need to cancel.
No clue about International, however.
