Unable to cancel flights online

Unable to cancel flights online

I'm wondering if anyone else is having or has had this problem. When I attempt to cancel flights within my account, I receive this error message...

"Sorry, we found some errors...

We were unable to process your request right now. Please try again or if you continue to have difficulties, please contact a Southwest Airlines Customer Service Representative at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792).

Error details
Error detail 1: 85234c24-6c0b-4506-acb2-b841afaad441 : 500999999"

However, on another computer , no problem. Does anyone know of a fix for this issue... I tried emptying the cache to no effect. Thanks for any suggestions!

It's a persistent problem. Logout and retry. That works every time.

If that somehow *doesn't* work (it's not quite as 100% for me as it is for nsx, at least not lately) clear your cookies - or, alternatively, use incognito mode or a browser you don't usually use for Southwest. Something is particularly wrong with the Southwest website these days, I don't even bother clearing cookies anymore because it goes wrong again so quickly. Incognito mode for me now!

Same for Chase Ultimate Rewards. Incognito works consistently.

I have experienced this problem as well. It usually lets me cancel the first one and then I get the error. It is really troublesome when trying to cancel a trip that has been booked as 2 OW's with a CP attached to it.
I've tried logging out and logging back in and it did not clear up the problem.
But, after a while it clears itself out. (I'm not sure how long--maybe 30 mins? )

Logout and do not login again. Then you can cancel.

Thanks to all of those who responded. Each of the suggestions worked at various times... especially the incognito one.

Using the mobile site at mobile.southwest.com usually works when I get that error.
