Well duh, that would be the wrong vendor to use (in this completely ridiculous situation); use a vendor where the keys are already in the car, like National at almost all airports

Yeah, don't even make a car reservation, just go to the lots and use one as a free locker

No, pay to rent the car, store the bags, don't move it out of the spot, and then return the car exactly as it was left. That way, you avoid the parking fees and the need to put gas in it. Otherwise, you're stealing a service (and run the risk of the car - and your bags - not being there upon your return!)

Unless of course they rent the car to someone else and they drive off with your bag.

Not to be obtuse here, but if you just stash your bags into an empty trunk at the rental lot, what's to keep someone else from choosing that same car later and driving off with it?

Does nobody rent from National, where you walk up to any car, the keys are in the car, you pick the car, you take the keys out of the car??? |
The best jokes are the ones where you have to say "it's a joke!!!" at the end of them.

I'm astonished that anyone would actually think this was a serious suggestion.
|
Given the number of dumb and illegal suggestions posted here I'm not surprised.
