First time using Companion Pass

Okay, we booked the first flight to PUJ (wanna get away). We went to add the companion, and the friggin' flight is now showing as completely sold out! You gotta be kidding me! Has that ever happened to anyone else? So far, 0 for 1 with CP...

Happens all the time to me (when I don't plan ahead, like usual). Just keep an eye on the flight. Space usually opens up and fills up all the time.

Is it truly sold out (for all non CP fares) or perhaps related to this glitch? Otherwise just keep checking back.

The flight is three weeks out. I see no availability at any level for the flight, so it looks like the glitch is unrelated. I know it's a tight time frame, but we just qualified for CP. I just can't ever recall when the last salable ticket for a flight was a "wanna get away" fare. You would assume they'd overbook it for a Business Select fare price. I'll keep checking it. In the meantime, it's CP 1, me 0.

Just keep checking & often. If a domestic flight I'd say 99% chance of snagging one, international & Easter break may bring that down some. Good luck & report back!

It happens on some of my commuter flights (especially SNA-PHX) pretty regularly.

Just make sure to keep checking the site. If you have an Expertflyer subscription set up an alert for Y or L availability. Or go for an extra day.

Trust me, an extra day was option 1. Alas, no availability on the following TWO days. :-(

99% chance will open on an expetflyer alert, (though it may only open for only a few minutes for you to snipe while an agent or customer is trying to cancel and refare or move from paid to companion.)
