What happened to Dallas Love Field?

According to FAA data, it got a huge passenger increase last year.

Lifting of Wright Amendment?

Got it. Thanks!

I've done the Houston-Love Field trip twice this summer for work and while I love the location of Love Field, you definitely feel how crowded the airport is. I was last there a couple weeks ago, like 5:30 pm, and my colleague and I couldn't get a seat at any restaurant and the shortest wait was ~5 minutes...for Chiles...

As opposed to an uncrowded Love Field where you can fly to an airport in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana or New Mexico (and that's it!) Geez, the crowds are still far less than DFW and now you can fly anywhere in the country at competitive prices.

Send an e-mail to AA and the City of Fort Worth and let them know how awful it is to fly out of Love Field.

Why would flying longer flights increase the number of passengers?
The length of trip is irrelevant to the capacity of the airport.

Love Field will have one extra passenger going through there because I'll be flying SWA to DAL in a couple of weeks non-stop from LAX since the end of the Wright Amendment. Otherwise, I would fly non-stop on another airline to DFW.

Yet a lot of flights from Love to near airports have been cancelled.

Is there a digit missing from before that 5? That doesn't seem too bad...
