Southwest Drink coupons
Curious-
Does anyone know what criteria southwest uses for their complimentary drink coupons? Reason I ask, my wife may have 10,000 reward points, I have close to 100,000, she received 4 drink coupons in the mail a few weeks before our recent flight, I didnt get anything (although she did share...this time!). Any idea?

Southwest sends a letter with 4 drink coupons after completion of each set of 10 paid one-way flights (points flights do not count.) You must be "opted in" on the website to receive them.
Chase, the issuer of the Southwest Visa cards, used to send a set of 4 coupons about once a year, but they stopped that for 2016.

Are you flying that much (10 segments per mailing) to justify coupons "showing up constantly"?
What do the FA's say?

No, I'm saying they don't take them, as in they give me drinks for free... Last trip ordered two Khalua and Coffees, FA told me not to worry about it and then when I ordered two more with extra alcohol, he refused to take them again... Just brought me the drinks and went on his way.
And yes, I am flying that much for work

FA's seem to be consistently inconsistent with the treatment of the coupons, some are very militant and some are old school and comp everything if the flight is delayed - to everything in between.
Sounds like a nice problem to have.
