If it turns out they are CPQP's, I will probably be all in, at least until I am certain of re-qualification. After that, I will add to my Hilton Honors total just to score that great Points+$ rate from time to time and a resort vacation every other year.
I connected via the chat box about hotel points and they said it would be up to the property, the good non-answer. If it is like other sites with Hilton, it will definitely be a gamble scoring points both ways. |
The points are all over the place. I was looking at a property in Houston for 8,000 points that dropped off in a day, so there are probably capacity limits.
Some properties will give 2,000 ppd for week long stays, some of them never budge off 1000 ppd. As an A+, the points per $ spent equation doesn't make sense unless my CP is in danger. Cheaper and easier to book a resort for a few days than to fly a grand circle tour with WN. |
There must be some limitations on capacity. I checked the date of my Royal Palms stay and the hotel isn't even listed. Another random date also did not show a listing for the Royal Palms.

I received the promotion email on this from southwest last night. Looks like it won't count toward cp. Or at least the 3k bonus won't count. The verbiage seems to speak specifically to the 3k as not counting
"Member will receive a maximum of 3,000 bonus points in addition to points earned for the hotel reservation. Bonus points will not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass qualification. Please allow four to six weeks from date of check out for points to post to your account." |
