She is wrong, she was denied for a different reason, maybe one she doesn't want to tell you. |
NM figured out answer.

Well, I don't fly SWA, so I am not inclined to test this myself. I am just looking for info for my readers. I plan to tell them that lots of flyertalk folks insist you can get both personal cards, so try it, but confirm the bonus offer by calling Chase before doing the spend on each card. Sound like a plan?

Meanwhile, I have yet to see a post of somebody that got a card, made the spend and did not get their points. |

BTW, Chase doesn't approve cards an deny the SU bonus, you said your friend was denied the card. Google Southwest Companion Pass and you will see a dozen or more blogs stating you can get multiple WN cards to get CP What blog to you run ? http://frequentmiler.boardingarea.co...ompanion-pass/ Chase frequently offers 50,000 bonus points for signing up for their Southwest cards and meeting the minimum spend. There are three versions of the card: Premier, Premier Business, and Plus. The Plus card costs $69 per year. The Premier cards cost $99. The 50,000 point bonuses (found here, when available) currently require $2K spend in three months. An easy way to get 110,000 points in a hurry is to sign up for two of these cards and spend a combined $10,000 across the two cards. Card 1: Spend $2,000: Get 52,000 points (50,000 signup bonus + 2,000 from spend) Card 2: Spend $2,000: Get 52,000 points (50,000 signup bonus + 2,000 from spend) Spend an additional $6,000 to earn 6,000 points more for a total of 110,000 points Note: As of January 2018, the business version of the card is actually offering a 60,000 point sign up bonus for spending $3,000 — meaning that if you signed up for both a business and personal card, it would only require a combined $5,000 in spending to earn a total of 115,000 points – more than enough for a Companion Pass. Ideally, you would time the sign-ups and spend so that the points would be earned as early in a calendar year as possible. That way, you’ll have the Companion Pass for nearly two years. |
Got my companion pass, Anxiety now lifted :) lol

1 down 1 to go?
I've been approved for the Business card. I now need to pick up the personal plus card. Does anyone know that if I have had the personal premier less than 2 years ago, can I still apply for the plus in hopes of getting approved and qualify for the bonus or because I've had the premier less than 2 years I wouldn't qualify?
Also, if denied the card because I have received one of the bonuses on the personal within the last 2 years, will that still hit my credit report? Thanks |

The Personal Premier has no bearing on the Personal Plus card............if you haven't had the bonus post in the past 24 months on the PLUS card you are good to go assuming your are under 5/24, credit worthiness, etc

I totally agree you may well get wrong information by calling in. But to say they LIKE to give out wrong information is just wrong. Actually, I think many people LIKE to say agents do that. Personally, I believe it is a combination of: * rep not understanding the question * customer asking one question but actually meaning something different than what they asked * CustRep answering what they "think" the customer asked * CustRep answering what they think the customer "meant" to ask * customer hearing something different than what the CustRep actually said |
