I miss the old livery! Yeah, I used to call it "peanut butter", but I'm not a big purple fan.... The original livery was more "Southwest"ern-looking to me...

I lied
three aircraft will remain in the original livery to commemorate Southwest's original three cities
* N711HK is dedicated to our Founder and Chairman Emeritus Herb Kelleher.
* N714CB is dedicated to the model of SOUTHWEST SPIRIT, our President Emeritus, Colleen Barrett.
* N792SW was the last aircraft delivered new in the original livery.

There are some minor differences between these three aircraft (all -700s) that may help folks figure out which one they're on, should they not be able to catch the aircraft number.
N711HK has "Herbert D. Kelleher" written on the side of the fuselage, under the cockpit windows.
N714CB has white borders around all the passenger windows, like the true original paint scheme did. This aircraft also says "Classic" on the side of the fuselage under the cockpit windows.
N792SW doesn't have anything on the fuselage, as far as I know.
The FAA registration "N-numbers" for these aircraft, and all the others in the fleet, are in the process of changing, and will all eventually transition to a different scheme that makes the aircraft's "nose number" the primary internal aircraft ID, and N-numbers will change to 4-numbers and end with a single letter. The -800s that have been delivered new all utilize the new method, and eventually all SWA aircraft will.

I flew one in the old livery a couple weeks ago from SJC->BUR. I was pretty sure it was a 700 in that it had the winglets and wifi. The cabin was also configured with the vertical storage in front of the first row next to entry. I have never seen those cabinets on any of the 300's I've flown. I remember all this because I saw the colors and was lamenting my fate until I started to see all the new stuff.
I did not catch the # but will next time.
