Late posting of Chase Southwest RR Credit Card points in Oct....

My Chase RR CC statement closed on 10/6 and my points still have not posted to my SW account on 10/11. I have never had to wait this long for the RR CC points to post. Is anyone else experiencing this?

The points are shown as earned on my Chase statement. How many days should I give this before I call Southwest?

I am in the same boat. This is the first time in many years that the points have been late for me. At least from the credit card. Usually they post BEFORE they even show up on my Chase acct.

Now I suppose I will be made to wait 6-8 weeks before I can make a request, like the 4 rental cars that I am waiting on......

I will update when and if the points post.

Add me to the list. Statement closed on 10/6/2011 and as of this morning, 10/12/2011, the points have not transferred. I wonder where the delay is...Chase or Southwest?

I dont where the problem lies, but I have had to set up spreadsheets to keep track of missing points. I am now missing around 7500.

Mine closed 10/7 and they posted within a day or two. I think last month though they took 3 days or so to post.

Just checked my account on 10/12....nope, still no Chase CC points!

Maybe there is a glitch with the statements that closed on 10/6? I think I will call Chase.

I called Chase and spoke with a CSA, she said the normal time for the points to post is between 8 - 10 days and up to 30. I was like.....ummm, no, the norm time is 1 - 3 days. She said to give it until Friday, 10/14. If the points still haven't posted, call then. Okay...I definitely will.

I have the same problem. Have two char cc's and one statement closed on the 5th... Points posted on the 8th. The other closed on the 6th but as of the 12th, no points. Perhaps due to the holiday?

Last month my points took 10 days to post - up until then they had posted the next day. When I called, I was also told the normal posting time is 7-10 days and it could take as long as 30 days. This month just closed and they have not posted yet.

These reps are lying about "up to 30 days," unless it just changed.

I have had the WN Visa for years and it has never once been more than 2 days.

jamesteroh Oct 12, 2011 10:34 am

I haven't used my WN card in a few months, but there have been two times this year when the points posted late. The first statement after RR2 rolled out on, it was almost a week. And there was another month this year where it took over a week. In the days of RR 1.0 the credits posted within 2 days.

I noticed the same thing with Hilton as welel. Hilton credits posted right away with RR 1.0 and there were a couple stays I never changed partners on with RR 2.0 and one of those stays took almost a month to post with WN.

For me since 2.0 started:

09/16/2011 Credit Card Rapid Rewards Credit Card 09/14/2011
08/16/2011 Credit Card Rapid Rewards Credit Card 08/14/2011
07/16/2011 Credit Card Rapid Rewards Credit Card 07/14/2011
06/15/2011 Credit Card Rapid Rewards Credit Card 06/14/2011
05/14/2011 Credit Card Rapid Rewards Credit Card 05/13/2011
04/16/2011 Credit Card Rapid Rewards Credit Card 04/14/2011
03/15/2011 Credit Card Rapid Rewards Credit Card 03/14/2011

So consistently 1-2 days. Of course, don't know about Oct.

hphizz Oct 14, 2011 6:11 am

It is weird . I have 2 cards, reg and business. One posted in 2 days consistently, other has been 6 days already! I emailed and they gave me the 30 day spiel.

mruaflyer Oct 14, 2011 6:30 am

My cc closed on 10/6 but still no posting as of today 10/14. Usually posts 1-2 days but still waiting.

drooley Oct 14, 2011 7:23 am

Just checked my statement this a.m...still, NO POINTS! I am getting very frustrated. What is going on here? Does the problem lie with Chase or Southwest?

Agreed, the "up to 30 days" excuse is a lie, as toomanybooks stated. Mr. drooley and I have used the Chase SW Visas for many years, and I am sure I have never waited more than 1-2 days for the points. I will make some calls today.
