Angry Checkin Down

Check in is down at southwest.com. Called customer service they said it had been down for an hour. No estimated time to repair...

It seems there is some serious problem. It is now 3:18 (PST) and the whole site is down.

BUT it might mean, that nobody else can check-in before you - see the silver line.

site itself is up, but cannot book a flight.
Whiskey
Tango
Foxtrot

And of course, cannot use Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, etc as an alternative.

A very bad day at WN

I get a call my flight is cancelled. I finally get through to an agent to rebook after a 30 minute wait. A- list means nothing now, as I am at the end of the check in window and can't check in anyway because the website is down.

I am back online at the airport trying to book reward travel and now that function is down also.

Please WN,do something about this website-it is a nightmare.

Not for me. Trying to rebook a few itineraries to take advantage of the $39 sale and no luck.

I wish there was a way that we all could send an email to Gary Kelly and let him know that his objective to make the web site a money maker ( and customer friendly be d&+&*ed) , is actually loosing him customers.

Isn't that what Ryan the temp tried at Dunder Mifflin (and you saw where that got him...)

I am an extremely patient person - with decades of special ed teaching background -, but yesterday I gave up on WN web site, and did the unforgivable: bought two UA tickets, in less than 2 minutes. (Something, I have not done for two years.) The tickets were actually cheaper than the WN tickets on sale.

No, I still try to be loyal to WN, even when the prices are high, but to spend hours to try to book a flight just does not worth the 'luve'.

I do agree: the attempt turn the webpage to a money maker just will turn away costumers.

I did the same. I'd guess we were not the only ones to book elsewhere yesterday

Have you sent him an Email? What happened?

I imagine his regular Email address goes to an admin person rather actually going straight to him.

No, because there needs to be a concerted effort for Dallas to take the least bit notice. Perhaps a new thread needs to be started with a goal of getting the regulars here to send that email.

The old site was 100% better and faster. It's a chore to book WN now.
