cancelled flight 23" of snow in PHL

Southwest cancelled our flight from PHL to RSW on Dec. 20. How long do I have to rebook a flight? I could not get out on Mon. on Southwest so I booked on Direct Air. I will be going to LAS in May. Can I use the Freedom Award for that trip?

As long as the Freedom Award hasn't expired before then (and if it has, you can extend it for the usual $50, I think), you can use it for any trip in May except for a May 28 blackout date. For a paid ticket where the trip wasn't taken, you can use the funds until a year after you made the purchase. There are also special circumstances listed on the Southwest site for rebooking due to this weather.
