RSW question
 

I am going to be flying into RSW at the end of the month, and I will be meeting up with friends. They are flying in on WN (appears to be Concourse D) and I will be flying on NW (concourse C?). Could someone recommend a meeting place that would work best for us? (Before leaving security or on the way to baggage claim, if possible).

When you arrive at RSW you deboard where the next pax will board ... same level! Then all walk from their concourse to the main terminal (outside security). Then you go to the lower level to pick up your baggage. Before you go down to pick up your baggage, you find (passing by from all concourses!) a nice area with chairs, window facing the "runway" and a Starbucks. You could meet there or downstairs at the baggage claim ... your baggage might be sitting already down on the floor while you still wait for your friends.:( I hope that I explained it well;)

So this is a fairly small airport, right? All of the baggage claim carousels are in one common area?

Yes, when you go down the stairs (to the ground floor) some baggage claim carousels are on the left, some on the right.
It's a new, clean, small, nice airport. The rental cars and offices are just opposite the terminal....in minutes you are on the road ....

I forgot to mention, that to pick up the baggage is a little slow, it takes some time until the baggage shows up. However, that might have changed.
