Seized Goods Auctions
Does anyone know anything about these?
I remember watching something on them once, and apparently Florida is a great place to pick up stuff that customs, police and the DEA have grabbed because of the amount of drug dealers trying to bring stuff in. Thoughts? |
Don't believe everything you hear about auctions like that. These auctions are very well attended, and nobody is going to get rich quick from them. You will not get real estate, boats, cars, aircraft, or jewelry for 2 cents on the dollar like the fast talking promoters would have you believe.
But if you want to have a look, try this site. It does list police and government auctions nationwide. The only catch is that a membership fee is required, but then it is with all of these sites. www.policeauctions.com |
yeah i figure i wasn't going to make a fortune from it, but i also heard that there were some things that US citizens can't buy due to customs etc that foreigners could get ok deals on.
Was more a plan for fun and to see if I could combine it with an MR. |
