Help at MIA airport

Walking distances between concourses, bag carts availability? cost?

White courtesy phones allow me to reach American counter?

If donŽt any idea of domestic counters phone numbers to call with my cel?

Just in case my arriving flight be delayed, and so my connection time get shortened.

Thanks.

Give us a more specific idea of what sort of connection you are trying to make It seems you are coming International on AA? and connecting domestic with bags.

I`m coming from Buenos Aires, at 7,23 AM and connect to American # 714 that leaves to WDC at 9,39AM.With bags.

I believe much of your questions were answered on the AA thread.
You will not be able to use a cell while going through INS or Customs.

The trolleys from baggage pickup through US customs are free.

Are you coming in on AA or AR am a bit confused.
For you sake I hope its AA because it going to be a whole lot easier/quicker.

If AR unless your bags can be checked through to AA and your final destination you will have to take them down to the AA main check in are near concourse E/D to be checked, tagged and then to be handed over to security.

That can be a bit time consuming in that airport.
If such an arrangement does exist then there is an AA drop off just outside customs exit door, which is what you will do for AA anyway since they will be already tagged you just drop them off.

The walk in MIA can be a bit daunting for people unfamilar with airport.
I have timed it from E9 to A12 and it took 14 mins but that was inside security. The majority of AA's domestic flights leave from either A or D.

But you will need to do that outside security and depending on how busy the airport is just negotiating around the people will take longer.

Good luck.

That's about how quickly I can do it, but I think not everyone walks as fast as Mike and I do. If Mike is like me, he is usually passing people on the way between the D/E gates and the A gates.

If someone is walking fairly leisurely, the 25 minutes that MIA and AA post for the walking time is accurate. However, it can be done in 15 minutes at a relatively brisk pace.

WDC?

No matching entries found...
"WDC" was not found in our database... (of airports)

I guess you are going to Washington D.C.?!?
If you need more help, please post all relevant information.
In any event, you have more than 2 hours to connect, that's more than you need ... and if you speak Spanish, that's a great help at MIA :)

The OP posted the same question on the AA forum and we had give him the " not so favorable news" that his connection might be a bit dicey.
Mainly because he apparently is non-US and could be delayed at INS plus he is flying in on AR ( Aerolineas Argentina) and might not be able to check his luggage through even if he uses the AA baggage counter ( after customs) he might be delayed there plus the security re-entry etc, etc.

Sorry about that

Should`d written DCA instead of WDC, and yes I`m Argentinian so Mike`s predictions seems to me the most accurate.
I`ll walk fast, thank you all for your assistance.

I believe golfaholicdoc can make it from his 7:23 AM AR arrival to his 9:39 AM AA departure:

-he has to walk from his gate to INS (FORMS FILLED OUT ALREADY!!!) ..... long walk, but only with carry-on-baggage ... I can still see this train, but was never able to use it recently?!
-after INS get the baggage downstairs
-pass customs concourse E, level 1 .... mostly very fast!
-I am not sure, if he can check his baggage at the AA drop-station after customs. If not, he has to check in at CONCOURSE E DEPARTURE LEVEL 2 AA DOMESTIC, short walk, one floor up. Not sure if he can use this self-serve-stations?!

mike, others, please correct, if something is wrong, missing

Handicaped wife at MIA

Hi friends, after car drop off at MIA car rental center, weŽd rather prefer to take an UBER/Taxi to concourse J.
Never did this before, always raided the train and walk to check in.Now this is NOT an option.
WHERE should we wait for our car?
Are UBER allowed to pick up at MIA?
Any other clue will be very appreciated.
Thanks.

Can you drop wife at MIA J in the rental car and then return it to the rental car return place? You might be able to arrange for wheelchair assistance to meet her at the curb. Of course, it's easier to do this if there is a third (or even fourth) person traveling with you to stay with her (and someone else to go with you while you return the car to help with bags that aren't dropped off at the curb initially).

BTW, are you flying to Argentina or is it a domestic flight, so that there might be curbside check in and bag drop for your airline at MIA?

I’ve taken an uber to the MIA rental car facility (when my brand new Hertz car just quit on me on US 1). I am pretty certain you can get an uber to pick you up from there. I do agree, however, hat dropping your wife off at the terminal might be a good option.
