Bristol itself is awesome! How can you not love a town that is in two states, divided through downtown?

I'm coming down this Wednesday. My Wednesday dinner plans got preempted, but if you have any particularly good recommendations, I might be able to make it down on Thursday.

It was pretty cool. Waze actually took us into Virginia, then back into Tennessee to get to Baconland BBQ.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I did not have time to make it down this trip. But I know I'll be going back eventually, so I'll keep that filed away.

^^ It's a good one to keep on the radar. As authentic as it gets.

Having to pay property tax in two states probably sucks, though...

I'm not sure if you're joking. It's not really one city. It's just impossible to know which side of the state line you're on without asking someone who lives there.

The two properties in the screenshot straddle the state line. Hence the need to pay property tax in two states.

i didn’t see that. Still, no worse than living in one state and working in another, forcing you to pay income tax in both.

Game over all, this is it. Also, Big Daddy's in Enterprise Alabama is amazing!
Had a beef plate there last week--it was delicious! (Though I would get something else next time--just not my favorite) And the atmosphere is something else--I nearly had a couple coughing fits, but it smelled great!

Also got to Luna's Hickory Pit BBQ in Hancesville--everything was delicious, and service was amazing!
