<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"> Our main courses didnt disappoint us. We had the substantial lamb shanks--falling off the bone into a dark, tomato-wine sauce. The Roasted Hawaiian Pork Tenderloin was very good, combining a chili spice with salty hoisin and sweet orange flavors. The potatoes and glazed carrots that accompany are outstanding, too. Simple ingredients getting special treatment once again. Well, the specialty of the house is creme brulee and with good reason. Expertly torched at the table with an industrial strength flame thrower, the center was cool and oh-so-creamy, the top a bittersweet crunch. The surroundings are serene, the music an interesting and soothing blend of light jazz, native drums with recorders, and subtly arranged old favorites. Its background music as it should be. The decor takes advantage of Flares location and climate. The terrace, which is the main dining room, is under gentle ceiling fans and edged with drop down curtains against rain and wind. The pillars and walls are muralled with paintings that echo the live plants inside and out., a tropical garden of Eden where you will no doubt eat a lot more than an apple.
