What's to do there, especially in a weekend?

I've been there only on business trips though, and I don't want to do Six Flags.

Go to google and type in www.Atlanta.com. Pretty much covers any type of entertainment you would like.

Atlanta has a lot of history, MLK, Margaret Mitchell House, Stone Mountain carvings, etc.
