As predicted, cut down to 6 days (Fri-Sun, Fri-Sun). Also not a surprise given sunset times, but each day also cut back an hour, now ending at 6 pm.

But any day at the Fairgrounds is a great day. I can't wait.

Jazz and Voodoo 2 week apart this year? Lots of reasons to just stay for the whole month...

Voodoo Fest is not happening in 2021, postponed until 2022.

So, if you (or anyone else attending!) get a chance, go check out the New Orleans Nightcrawlers, fresh off their grammy award this year. One of the band members is a friend of mine and his gf is one of my favorite people in this world.

And while you are at it, go see Bonerama. Fun band that opened for Harry Connick Jr. at Hollywood Bowl. One of the band members is a friend of mine and his gf is one of my favorite people in this world.

I've been seeing both those bands for years, and agree with these recommendations. Besides being a prolific and versatile trombone player, Craig is also a really good guy.

I figured someone here would know. Yes, he is! I am looking forward to our trip out there for our Mardi Gras parade and the party at their house.

Nice, I actually crashed a gathering at their house last parade season.

That is kind of how I met them. Met up with a friend in New Orleans while I was there on a work trip. He said he was planning on going to a friend's house that evening and I could tag along. Shortly after showing up at their house, my friend had an emergency, leaving me there not knowing a soul. Obviously, everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Now, I get to be part of the Krewe of King Arthur thanks to that evening.

Will be in town Feb 17 to 21 for that parade, if swag and/or Blumie are around.

Sorry to take it off topic. Wish I could come for Jazz Fest. Maybe next year.

Disappointing, but will pencil it in for next year.

The Covid curve in Louisiana isn't looking promising right now, but if the festival happens, they've added a first-ever Wednesday Jazzfest day, with the Rolling Stones headlining.

General admission for that day only is $190+, capacity is limited so a first-ever sellout is possible. On sale Friday, with presales this week.
