Overnight in FLL
We are flying in to FLL in January for a cruise. Arriving the day before the cruise. Any recommendations for a place to stay for one Saturday night would be welcome. We would like a hotel that will do airport-to-hotel and hotel-to-cruise port shuttles as we will net be renting a car. Thank you.

I'm local to Fort Lauderdale, so I can't give a hotel recommendation based on a personal stay. You might find the Port Everglades Cruise Guide to be helpful. It's a pdf booklet (also available online) published by Broward County. (Broward County operates Port Everglades.) You can find the booklet here:
Port Publications
Starting on page 80 of the 2019 guide, you'll find lots of advertisements for hotels. Some of the ads indicate that they have complimentary airport and cruise port transportation. Other ads list prices for their shuttles.
In general, the convenient hotels for cruise passengers are located near SE 17th Street (also known as the 17th Street Causeway). In that area, you'll find both limited service hotels (like Holiday Inn Express) and full service hotels (like Renaissance and Hilton) that are less than 5 minutes to one of the entrances to the port.
There also are several limited service hotels located on State Road 84 (also known as Marina Mile Blvd). They are roughly 10 minutes to one of the entrances to the port.

I looked at the booklet and made reservations at the Ramada. They have shuttles from the airport and to the cruise port, plus an onsite restaurant which will be good for dinner as we are arriving at 5:30 PM.
