Disney World Gondolas

Anyone know if these will be for everyone's use or just Disney hotel guests? They'll probably be up and running within a year.

I'm thinking they should be for everyone since they're being built mainly to move large numbers of people.

All transportation on Walt Disney World property is available for any guest. You do not need to be staying at a Disney Resort to use the buses, monorails, boats, or upcoming gondolas. That said, the gondola lines don't really connect anything other than some of the theme parks with some of the Disney Resorts. In theory, you could take the gondola from Epcot to/from Disney's Hollywood Studios. However, doing that will require that you transfer from one line to another. So, it probably will take a longer than just taking the existing boat or walking.

The one Disney transportation service that is restricted to guests staying at Disney Resorts is Disney's Magical Express. That's the "free" service the transports guests between Walt Disney World and the Orlando International Airport.

(The "new" FT update doesn't let me edit my previous post, so I have to add this as a separate comment.)

Disney is offering a paid, point-to-point transportation service call Minnie Vans. The current price for this service is a $25 flat fee. In order to use the service, you do need to be staying at a select Walt Disney World Resort.
