MIA Passport Control on Arrival
Arriving MIA on BA207. Has anyone any views on or experience of the Automated Passport Control system at MIA. Does it work and speed things up, or in general is it still preferable to use the manual lines.
Thanks

I did that flight last month - used the manual desks - we were through in less than 15 minutes.
Ive equally had experiences where it’s taken over 2 hrs.

Yes, it is still very unpredictable despite some overall improvement. Over 2 hours still happens if you are unlucky enough to arrive on the wrong day at the wrong time, 15 minutes happens more often than before. On the whole, I recommend using the kiosk first though there may still be a long line for your passport and receipt to be controlled before exiting.
