Connections at MIA

Hello FT,

I have an upcoming flight on QR that departs from the E gates, and I will be connecting from an arrival on AA at the D gates. Is there any way to go from D to E specifically post-security? I believe there is a connector, but I have not been able to confirm anywhere whether or not it is actually past security. Has anyone used it, and if so, do you have pictures so I know what to look for? Additionally, I will have over a 4hr layover, so are all terminals connected airside if I want to do a bit of planespotting in J for example? All info is greatly appreciated.

D and E are connected inside the secure zone, you will be able to move from one to the other without exiting the secure area. I don't have pictures, but there is extensive signage, you will not have any problem finding the (somewhat lengthy) corridor.

J and H are also interconnected inside the secure zone, but to reach one of them, you will have to exit security and move trough the landside area.

Also, G and F are (airside) independent terminals, not connected after security to any others.
