NOLA weather

I'll be in New Orleans for 10 nights from Tues. on and I'm seeing temps are already in the 80s?! That can't be normal for this early in the year, right?? I'm looking at a 10-day forecast and seeing thundershowers almost daily. Can anyone give me a better idea of what that means and to expect weather-wise: is it going to be raining non-stop throughout the day or are these intermittent storms that pass through quickly; like topical rainstorms? Should I just plan to be in a rain mac and galoshes every single day? That sounds uncomfortable with the humidity and high temps. Is this normal weather for late-March? I would've expected this towards the end of April/May. 😕

I guess you haven't been to New Orleans before at this time of year. I've seen snow at the end of March and temps higher than 80, also.

I've previously only been to NOLA in the fall. I was expecting San Francisco weather based on all that I'd read. Pretty surprising to see temps in the 80s this early in the season. I just hope that it's not constant heavy rain for 10 days straight.

We're lucky if we can have accurate weather forecasts from one day to the next. Some 80s aren't surprising at all in March. Check the local weather links above for your best shot at accurate weather prognostication.
