Elite Line at CLT
 

This morning when I was going through the elite/priority security line theres a tsa/bouncer guy there. I have status with United and Delta [Abit status match]. So I had the mobile boarding pass for delta and the united elite card out. He told me that he couldn't look at the united status card, and had to look for the hard to read elite status on the Delta Mobile BP. Is this normal? I thought that once you earned elite status that it didn't matter which airline you were flying through at security.

Is this expected or is this something odd?

I have always been under the impression that the status has to match the airline you are flying on.

I think it is a YMMV situation. It's within the last year or so that they even allow anyone other than US pref to use the elite lines. Most of the time I think you would be golden
