CMA Fest
Ok well im looking at going to CMA fest next year with a friend.
Can anyone tell me about hotelage this time of the year, I have well over half a million HH points and would burn them on the Hilton but it shows zero availability even for a paid stay. Anyone got info on if reward nights are even going to be useable this time of the year and such.

As both a college student in BNA and now having to travel there for work, I can tell you that things are blocked in advance for performers and entourages. But based on your status, you may be able to force a reservation (HHonors Diamond Force). This past CMA Fest I waited to book travel for Nashville and everything was sold out. I called the hotel directly (the Hilton downtown and the HGI Vanderbilt) and got put on waitlists. I ended up using the diamond force at the Hilton Suites Brentwood because it was $319 a night versus $500 downtown. I'd checked early and often, and call just to double confirm if you want to use points.

Gonna have to think about it a bit more now, thanks!

You could go ahead and reserve it with points just in case, and then cancel as it gets closer if you need to. I'm not sure rates will drop between now and then - it seems to be booked solid every year.
