Arriving from MIA in SCL, outbound to IPC, what is minimum MCT

Hello, I've searched the forum already and I'm only seeing outdated posts regarding this topic.

We are arriving from MIA at 7:14 am AA flight in SCL. Separate ticket on LATAM from SCL to IPC at 9:30 am. US passports. No checked bags. Is this enough time for connection? TIA.

That should be enough time, although it's worth noting that the Immigration & Customs/SAG queues have been unusually long (this based on my recent experience, which is two arrivals this year so far). This may be due to the fact that they recently opened additional international gates as part of the airport expansion project, but have not (yet) expanded capacity to receive more international passengers.

One hint, when you come down the escalator into the Immigration hall, as a US passport holder you will be routed to the queue for non-Chileans. Very often, the lineup for Chilean residents is much shorter. I often slip in there; they don't check carefully and I haven't been turned back yet by an agent for being in the wrong line.

Bottom line, I think you've got time especially if you don't have any checked luggage.

If this is a once in a lifetime visit to Rapa Nui, then you are chancing a disappointment of a missed flight, lost day or days on the island, etc. The walk-up price for a next day Rapa Nui flight will not be cheap. Do online check-in at T -48 hours and print out your boarding pass so you can go directly to domestic security and your domestic gate after clearing immigration and customs.
