How to get from Vancouver (YVR) to Santa Cruz, Bolivia (VVI)

Hi guys, how can I get from Vancouver, Canada (YVR) to Santa Cruz, Bolivia (VVI) (a round trip)? Departure: October 1st returning in mid January. Is going to Miami (MIA) first the best way to do it? American airlines and I think BOA airlines flies Miami(MIA)-Santa Cruz(VVI) direct for about $500 (round trip). 1) My first question is can I find a cheaper flight? 2) Is there a faster connection other than Miami, for example via Lima with Air Canada with a layover in Toronto (YYZ). This avoids transiting in the US, but maybe adds time and cost. I am not sure. 3) If I have a choice between American airlines or BOA, which should I pick? Thanks

google.ca/flights is a good place to start.

If you find it too complicated, then travel agents can help you.

1. 500$ is the average price.

2.
Copa (CM) offers 2 daily flights from Panamá (PTY), maybe you can connect on Houston (IAH) or Miami (MIA).

Air Canada is a good option via Lima (LIM), it's possible to flight the last leg on LATAM or Avianca (AV), another option is via Sao Paulo (GRU) and the last leg on Gol (G3).

3.
Avoid BOA (OB) at all costs.
