Uber in SCL

Uber in SCL
Anyone know if you can get an UBER in the arrivals area in SCL? Or do you have to get one at departures area?

Brandinho1 - We were just there last week. The instructions on Uber's app say to walk across from the arrivals area to the Holiday Inn Express. It's directly in front of you when you walk out the doors. We did that and there were others also waiting there. There's really no where for a car to stop as they would block traffic in front of the hotel.
However, our driver (an Uber Black driver but not sure that matters) called us to ask us to meet her in the parking area which is behind and on either side of the Holiday Inn. She later told us that just the day before an Uber driver had been surrounded by taxi drivers and beaten up, so she asked us to greet her as an old friend, with hugs and kisses and to get into the front seat. Don't know how much of that is accurate but be forewarned.
