Toronto - Buenos Aires free stop over options

Hello,

I'm planning to travel from Toronto to Buenos Aires and looking into Air Canada rules it looks like they allow unlimited free stop overs. Does anyone have any experience taking advantage of this? Any suggestions on stopover routes I can try. I would like to see as much of South America as possible in a single ticket.

Thanks!

All AC flights between YYZ and EZE stop in SCL so I expect that's the only place you'll get to stop over. AC also flies to BOG, LIM & GRU but connecting flights between those cities and SCL/EZE will most likely be on LATAM which is a OneWorld carrier, not Star Alliance. The only Star Alliance carrier that I know of that might make some of those legs would be Avianca out of BOG.

I did 3 or 4 days stop over in Santiago Chile and loved it, highly recommend "W" hotel there. Great and affordable local high end fashion boutiques in 20 min. walking distance. Great food and wine. Friendly people. One of the underground stations named after Einstein:) Take a funicular up San Cristobal Hill, great experience and unparalleled city vista. Presidential La Moneda palace with horse guards. Garcia Lorca house and much more. Great views from the plane of rusty copper land. Easy hop to Buenos Aires in half empty plane. Go for it!
