And BA's IT is bad?
Really frustrating using SA's website. Had to re-enter everything 3 times! First time was because when I hit PAY on the iPad it just froze.
Then I switched to the Mac and almost at the end I missed something and hit the Back button. My bad. Third time everything took,
including the payment, but then at the confirmation screen it froze AGAIN! Pretty sure I'm not booked as I got no email confirmation.

Amazingly my efforts were not in vain. I thought it very strange that the confirmation page
indicated another kerfuffle yet after a few hours I did get email confirmation!

For DECADES, I always encountered problems with SAA's site and Comair too somewhat. But, with SAA, I had to use WinPC, run Internet Explorer without any add-ons, blockers, etc. and just keep plowing along. Let Java or whatever infect every inch, nook and cranny of my browser, computer OS, etc. Keep it simple and the site would seem to work. Every time I hit Next or Continue, I felt like I was pulling a handle on a slot machine and waiting to see what comes up. And then, when all was said and done, you wait and wait for email confirmation wondering if it really "worked."
At least it was better than having to fax my passport, DL, front and back of credit card, etc. etc to some random BnB, hotel, lodge, etc. to "confirm" my reservation after having entered on some similarly dodgy web site.
