Earn about 40X miles you're flying from JNB to Swaziland

. . . by giving your United Mileage Plus Number.

United recently awarded me 7839 miles for flying from JNB-SHO on flight 8084.

SHO is the airport code for the one year old King Mswati airport in Swazailand.

SHO used to be the IATA code for Sokcho, Korea, which is located just about 7839 miles from Johannesburg.

United thinks I flew to Korea.

Keep quiet and hope they don't notice :-)

Just hope United Mileage Plus aren't trolling Flyertalk right now and reading this!!!

Yeah, sorry. At least I didn't put it in the UA thread. I don't think it's mileage run-worthy error. Cost of round trip ticket is $300 for 15,678 PQMs.

If mods want to delete this though, I won't be offended.

Appropriately, the South African slang term for such a discovery, "Sho!"
