Who are SA's interline partners?

Hi,

I have an SA+QM(Sold by ET) connection in JNB, and an SW+SA connection in CPT.

Both are on separate tickets. I simply don't want to do a landside connection as that requires me a visa (though for free) applied in advance.

I checked the SA's website and they only showed AA, DL, VX as their interline partners. As a big airline company like SA, I think it is unlikely for SA to have only Star Alliance + AA,DL, VX as their interlines partners.

As I have no access to GDS system, I would like to ask if anyone would provide me a list of SA's interline partners.

thank you!

I don't have an exhaustive list, but as a matter of interest, what passport are you traveling on?

Also, AA, DL and VX are their interline partners in the US. They have plenty more interline agreements.

Where can I find a much detailed list?
I just want to know if Air Namibia and Malawian Airlines are listed as interline partners!

KVS lists these:

[KVS Tool 8.0.2 - Reference: Interline Agreements [IET]: SA]

ELECTRONIC INTERLINE CARRIER AGREEMENTS-SA
INTERLINE CARRIER CODES
AA - AC - AD - AF - AI - AM - AR - AT - AV - AY
AZ - A3 - BA - BP - BR - B6 - CA - CI - CM - CX
CZ - DL - DN - DT - D6 - EI - EK - EN - ET - EY
FI - FM - GF - G3 - HF - HM - HR - HU - HX - IB
JE - JJ - JL - JP - KA - KE - KL - KP - KQ - KU
LA - LC - LG - LH - LO - LR - LX - LY - MD - MF
MH - MI - MK - MS - MU - NH - NZ - OA - OK - OS
OU - OZ - O6 - PR - PS - PW - PZ - P0 - QF - QR
SK - SQ - SS - SU - SV - SW - S2 - S5 - TA - TG
TK - TM - TP - UA - UL - UN - UU - VA - VN - VS
VX - WB - WY - XL - ZH - 2K - 4M - 9B - 9W
So Air Namibia is on the list but Air Malawi (QM) isn't. [Neither is Malawian Airlines (3W).]

But isn't this anyway academic? AIUI on separate tickets the airlines are not obliged to through-check luggage - I thought the interline agreements only cover connecting flights on the same ticket.

QM doesn't exist anymore.

All 3W flights are operated by ET and carry ET flight numbers. All 3W sales are plated on ET 071 stock.

So in this case, does that mean even the ground staff in Johannesburg of Malawian airlines is supported by ET?

The ground staff are all BidAir staff anyway. However, the boarding passes just mention the ET flight number.
