I'll be flying through SLC with a 1:15 hour connection. Is there someplace INSIDE of security to have a cigarette? Or, do I need to bring extra Nicorettes with me ?

Thanks.

Mary -
There are smoking "lounges" inside security - I believe on each concourse. They are clear glass enclosures about half way through each concourse.

Yes, there are several glass enclosed smoking areas airside at SLC.

Thanks much! I was hoping they had one indoors - and it sounds like they have several.

Kudos to SLC!

I can confirm that there are still smoking rooms in the C&D concourses (only ones I've been to) at SLC

USA / SLC / Salt Lake City Airport

Was pleasantly surprised to find on a recent trip that SLC airport has free smoking lounges in each terminal. Although some online things I read were a little unclear, there were free lounges (similar to what is in IAD) in Terminal B and C both (pretty sure there is one in A as well.)

Just thought I'd make sure this was logged here. Between my connections in DEN and flying to SLC, it was a fine trip from a smoking standpoint

Are there smoking areas in SLT airport? I can't seem to find anything on it.

Presuming you meant "SLC," not "SLT," yes there are smoking rooms:

I noticed signs on the smoking rooms doors at SLC yesterday announcing that they will be closing the smoking rooms, slowly, one at a time, over the next few months. Big disappointment!

Here are the closing dates:
•Concourse D: July 5
•Concourse A: week of August 15
•Concourse B: Week of September 26
•Concourse E: Week of November 7
•Concourse C: Week of December 19
