Spain / Madrid / Airports / MAD - is there airside smoking?

Hello allI have a long(ish) layover coming up in MAD T4S. Is there an airside smoking room or terrace or do I have to go landside?
TIA

Sadly not im afraid, you have to exit through passport control then take the transit train to T4, and exit through the baggage belts as a standard arriving passenger and go outside in order to smoke.

Barcelona on the otherhand ironically does has an airside smoking area at T1 located in the schengen departure lounge beside burger king in a very large enclosed outside area, but if you are flying non schengen you must use it before going through border control as you cannot smoke once you are in the D and E gate areas. Airside in T2 at BCN however is unfortunately completely non smoking.
