UK / London / Hotels

I frequently check rates for London Hiltons as we may get there sometime this Spring. Our choices would be either the London Hilton Tower Bridge or Hilton Park Lane although there are a couple of other Hiltons still showing with smoking room availability. Recently looked for London in April or May, and the London Hilton Tower Bridge (would have been our first choice based on comments on FT and TA) is now showing as NON Smoking on the Hilton website.

Disappointed. One less choice in London.

That doesn't sound good. Hilton is fast becoming our last bastion. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

The Savoy is non smoking but they'll get you an ash tray for the room if you ask.

Hi, I know this thread is a little old, but I'm looking for a smoking room in London. Thanks!

You are seriously going to struggle. London hotels are a smoker's nightmare these days. Are you looking in central London, or one of the airports? What's your budget?

Hi, I've never been to London. I'm going to a concert at Wigmore Hall, so was thinking of something near there, or between Kensington Gardens and British Museum. Budget can be 300-400 GBP or so. Thank you!

If this budget is for one night, then you're clearly looking for a fairly high end hotel. That is going to make it even more difficult, as these days it's generally the fleapits that will allow (or at least ignore) in-room smoking.

Depending on the time of year you are travelling (i.e. weather) a room with a balcony might be your best (or only) option.

I will see what I can dig up, though.

Recent Tripadvisor reviews suggest the Hilton London Metropole (about a mile from your concert venue) may still offer smoking rooms.

As always, call them to confirm this before you book anything, as these things can change very quickly.

Thank you very much. I did text chat with a rep from Hilton and they offered that location. I think I will look for something with a balcony since that is less likely to change than a smoking room status.

I need to visit London in March. Which is the best hotel that allows smoking. I actually prefer rooms with balconies so one can smoke on the balcony and the room doesn't stink. But a lot of hotels these days even ban smoking on balconies.

I don't really want to spend more than 300 a night. I also don't want to stay in a hole. Ideally I would like to be based in Mayfair, St James', or around Piccadilly or Trafalgar Square.

But quite happy to move a bit out of there is a decent hotel that allows smoking.

In UK you are into Unicorn territory, I regret.

Old post, but I just saw it. I believe the Lanesborough still has smoking rooms. This would likely be the best hotel in London with smoking rooms, if that is still correct.
