CO vs DL miles
 

I have 17,000 elite CO miles for this year, and am scheduled to fly to SVO next month on DL. Can't decide if I should accrue CO or DL miles on this trip. I feel like DL has better mileage availability and it's better to rack up DL miles (will be around 9-10k roundtrip), but I think I will get elite on CO if I get the points on CO (right?)

Thoughts? Is elite on CO worthwhile?

I'm platinum on CO and like it just fine. Until October 24th pretty much any reward that is available on DL at the lowest level is also available for CO OnePass redemption. After October 24th CO will join Star Alliance at some point so the redemption options will change but will still be quite reasonable, I think.

What fare class is the trip to SVO in? If it is an L, U or T fare then you would only receive 50% EQMs on CO so that might not be enough to make status.

I'd choose CO over DL in a heartbeat. Less monkeybusiness, and some actual new benefits on the CO side.
