Skyteam to AKL?

So, I can get some of the way there on Skyteam but it seems I cannot get all the way there.

Please don't tell me I have to use Star Alliance to get there!

Anyone know of a way to get to AKL via DL/Skyteam?

Korean Air serves it from Seoul (ICN), I believe...

While it isn't the shortest route, as the crow flies, you can fly to Seoul (ICN) either on DL or KE and then take a KE flight to AKL.

Korean Air, MWThFSat this time of year. As found in the scheduling section of ExpertFlyer when the SkyTeam alliance is selected.

I don't have an expertflyer account so thanks for looking it up.

I wonder if CMH - ATL - LAX - ICN - AKL is the best routing I can get.

Since I have already made PM on DL, perhaps I should go for something in UA...

Did you try CMH - ATL - ICN - AKL or CMH - JFK - ICN - AKL?

PS: You should download the Skyteam Time Table desktop tool available at http://www.skyteamtimetable.com/SkyT...lTimetable.exe

Thats a pretty neat little program. I was just fooling around with it for a bit, typing in some of my iteraries I have planned for the next couple months. How is Aeroflot compared with the other skyteam? A lot of my itineraries came up connecting me through moscow!

If the OP wants to use the miles to get an award ticket on Skyteam, yeah KE is the only choice you have to AKL all the way.

If the OP is paying for a ticket, UA+NZ (Star Alliance) and EK are the best options in my opinion. Or AA+QF (oneworld).

CMH-somewhere-SFO/LAX with UA then NZ to AKL.

CMH-somewhere-NYC-DXB-SYD-AKL with EK. I think EK has good fares ex-USA to Australia and NZ via Dubai, albeit a long way round!
