MH in Skyteam?
Long time no news. Are there any new if MH is willing to join an alliance, may be ST?
|
The last rumor I heard was that MH asked for an invitation to join Skyteam, but was "blackballed" by AF.

I simple search on FT can do wonders
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5404646 AF OK'ed MH joining at least a year ago. MH restructuring plan (I can't find the link right now but it used to be available online) provides for joining a global alliance (ST, we hope) in 2008-2010 |
For Skyteam partners, such as Northwest.
What benefits do you actually get? Because as a Platinum Elite for Northwest I still experience blackout dates and not having the ability to use the likes of PerkPass tickets on any skyteam partner. (Correct me if I'm wrong) I've seen the website, there are a few nice perks in there, but I feel as if they're missing the core things when it comes to mileage programs. However, having Malaysian Airlines as a Skyteam partner could do wonders for a lot of people. |
NW WP members can redeem PerkPass (double miles but much fewer capacity controls) on NW CO DL and KLM.

Can DL SkyMiles members also redeem double miles for waiving most capacity controls for NW-operated-and-coded flights? I know that last summer this wasn't the case for DL SkyMiles members. |
