Is there any Skyteam-member which flies domestic in Canada? I want to fly on an award from Europe to Toronto (or another place in the east), has a stopover and then continue to Vancouver (or another place nearby in the west). After a while returning back to Europe.

Is this possible? I don't want to fly for example from Toronto to Seattle to Vancouver or something like that. I don't mind another stop, but not outside Canada.

the answer is NO.

The only full service carrier in Canada is Air Canada, which is a founding member of Star Alliance.

Westjet is a discount carrier that has no affiliation with any full service airlines.

So if you fly within Canada, you have to choose either one of them (plus 1-2 other discount carriers).

Skyteam carriers only fly IN and OUT three major cities (Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver), and they do not have any feeder airlines within Canada.

Delta (Connector) also flies to Ottawa
NW also flies into Calgary, Edmonton, Quebec, Halifax, and Saskatoon

NW and DL also fly to Winnipeg.
If you're into more obscure destinations, NW also flies to Regina and Thunder Bay.
DL also offers seasonal service to Victoria, BC.

Of course, if the OP wants to avoid the US, none of those flights would be useful.

NW has great service in canada actually. MSP is a convenient connector, except they can't sell connecting flights. Alas..

I'm afraid so. I fly with my wife and 3 small children, so I want to avoid the US security (the time and hassle for only a transfer), extra costs for either passport or visa for my children (for Canada they can be written in the parents passports, like we have now).

But my flights are booked at this moments, we decided to stay in Ontario and maybe -over several years- come back to visit the westcoast.

FWIW, CO flies to a bunch of destinations in Canada as well...

Moncton, Halifax, St. John's, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary & Vancouver.

Partner service (I'm pretty sure NW-operated, though some may be AS) goes to Victoria, Kamloops, Kelowna, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay and London.

None of it stays in Canada.

The west coast cities you list, such as Victoria, Kamloops...those are Horizon Air cities via CO-Codeshare
