SkyTeam Round the World

(A) APPLICATION
(1) Class of Service
These fares apply for First / Business / Economy Class service.
(2) Types of Transportation
Fares governed by this rule can be used to create round-the-world journeys.
(a) These fares apply for round-the-world travel to/from the countries served by the participating carriers in this rule.
(b) Travel must commence from and return to the same country. The following are each considered one country:
Scandinavia
Canada and United States
South America
Southwest Pacific
Hong Kong and China
Middle East.
(c) Itinerary may reflect travel greater than round the world provided it is not via the point of origin/ destination and still terminates in the country of origin.
(d) Intercontinental travel shall be defined as travel from one continent to another. Africa/ Asia / Europe / Middle East / North America / South America / Southwest Pacific are considered seven different continents.
(e) Travel between points in Central America and points in South America / North America / Mexico shall not be considered intercontinental travel.
(f) Travel must include only one transatlantic crossing between Area 1 and Area 2, only one transpacific crossing between Area 1 and Area 3, and only one transcontinental crossing between Area 2 and Area 3.
(g) Fares only apply if purchased before departure.

(B) CAPACITY LIMITATIONS
(1) AF/AM/AZ/CO/DL/KE/KL/NW/OK shall limit number of passengers carried on any given flight at fares governed by this rule and such fares will not necessarily be available on all flights. The number of seats that each carrier shall make available on any given flight will be determined by the carriers' best judgement.
(2) On sectors where First/Business Class is not offered or available at the time of booking, passenger will be accommodated in the next lower class. No refund will apply.

(E) ADVANCE RESERVATIONS/TICKETING

(2) Ticket numbers must be entered in the PNR. Reservations without ticket numbers are subject to cancellation.

(F) MINIMUM STAY

Return travel from last point of stopover must commence no later than 12 months after departure from origin.

(H) STOPOVERS
Minimum: 3 Stopovers Required
Maximum: 15 Stopovers Permitted
Exceptions/Stopover Application:
(1) For RTWSKY4 Type Fares: Minimum 3 stopovers required, maximum 5 stopovers permitted.
(2) Maximum of one stopover permitted in any one city.
(3) Not more than 5 stopovers permitted within Australia.
(4) Not more than 5 stopovers permitted within Continental U.S.A./Canada.
(5) Not more than 3 stopovers permitted within Japan.
(6) For travel originating in:
Australia: Stopovers permitted at Australian international gateways only.
Europe: Maximum 5 stopovers permitted within Europe.
Papeete (PPT): One additional stopover is permitted in Los Angeles (LAX).
(7) A flight coupon without confirmed space constitutes a stopover.
(8) The following points/airports shall be considered as one city:

(I) TRANSFERS

(2) Surface Sectors
Intermediate surface sectors permitted at passenger’s expense. Mileage for surface sectors must be included in the maximum permitted mileage calculation.

(J) COMBINATIONS
(1) Single/double open jaws/round trips/circle trips not permitted.
(2) End-on-end not permitted.
(3) Add-ons not permitted.
(4) SkyTeam RTW tickets may be issued in conjunction with one SkyTeam EuroPass and one
SkyTeam America Pass ticket.

(K) BLACKOUT DATES
None.

(L) SURCHARGES
(1) For Business Class fares, on sectors within/between the Continental U.S. / Canada where Business Class is not offered, passengers will be accommodated in First Class subject to availability of seats at the time of booking at a surcharge of USD100 / CAD150 per flight segment. Child/infant discounts do not apply. NW booking class is F. No surcharge applies for passengers paying First Class fares.
(2) Fuel, insurance and passenger processing surcharges may apply. Child/infant discounts do not apply.

(M) SALES RESTRICTIONS
(1) Ticket must be issued on AF/AM/AZ/CO/DL/KE/KL/NW/OK stock only.

(3) Fares for travel originating in a country for which a specified local currency fare is not shown
will be the fare applicable from the USA converted to the currency of the country of origin at the bankers selling rate.
(4) The fare to be paid shall be the fare applicable from the point of origin or the fare applicable from the point of payment whichever is higher.

(N) PENALTIES
(1) Changes Before Departure
(a) Before Ticketing Deadline
Permitted.
(b) After Ticketing Deadline
No changes permitted on the outbound sector up to and including first intercontinental
sector. All other sectors rebooking/revalidation/rerouting permitted at a charge of USD100 /
CAD150 per transaction. Child/infant discounts do not apply. Change fee does not apply
when confirming open segments. Exception: In the event of death of the passenger as evidenced by a certificate member of passengers immediate family or accompanying passenger may reroute the remainder of the journey without charge.
(2) Changes After Departure No changes permitted on remaining outbound sectors up to and including first intercontinental sector. For all other sectors rebooking / revalidation / rerouting permitted at a charge of USD100 / CAD150 per transaction. Child/infant discounts do not apply. Change fee does not apply when confirming open segments.
Exception: In the event of death of the passenger as evidenced by a certificate member of passengers’ immediate family or accompanying passenger may reroute the remainder of the journey without charge.
(3) Guidelines for Changes
(a) TPMs must be recalculated for the new routing from the point of origin. If new routing
results in miles greater than maximum permitted miles collect the difference between the fare
paid and the new applicable fare for USD100 / CAD150 per transaction. Child/infant discounts
do not apply.
(b) If new routing results in fewer miles than original permitted miles the original fare still applies plus a charge of USD100 / CAD150 per transaction. No refund will apply. Child/infant discounts do not apply.
Exception: In the event of death of the passenger as evidenced by a certificate members of passengers immediate family or accompanying passenger may reroute the remainder of the journey without charge.
(c) If new routing is no longer round-the-world travel, collect the difference if any between the fare paid and the applicable fare for the new journey calculated from the point of origin plus a charge of USD100 / CAD150 per transaction. No refund will apply if the recalculated fare for the new journey is lower than the round- the-world fare paid. Child/infant discounts do not apply.
(d) For upgrading/reissue, see credit toward further transportation below.
(4) Cancellations Before Departure
(a) Before Ticketing Deadline
Full refund will apply.
(b) After Ticketing Deadline
For cancel/no-show/refund a fee of USD150 / CAD200 will apply.
Exception: In the event of death of passenger/family member or accompanying passenger as evidenced by a certificate the non-refundable amount may be used as a credit towards payment of an equivalent or higher applicable fare. The original non-refundable amount remains non-refundable.
(5) Cancellations After Departure
Refund if any will be the difference between the fare paid and the applicable fare for the journey traveled. No
refund applies when downgrading from a higher round-the world fare to a lower round-the-world fare.
Credit towards further transportation: Tickets may be upgraded from a lower round-the-world fare to higher round-the-world fare upon payment of the difference in fare recalculated from the point of origin plus the reissue charge of USD100 / CAD150. Child/infant discounts do not apply.

(O) TICKET ENDORSEMENT
(1) The original and the reissued ticket must be annotated in the endorsement box as follows:

(2) Endorsement is not required between AF/AM/AZ/CO/DL/KE/KL/NW/OK when reissued.

(P) CHILD/INFANT DISCOUNT
(1) Accompanied child 2-11 years of age: Charge 75 percent of the applicable adult fare.
Ticketing code: Base Fare Code plus CH.
(2) Accompanied infant under 2 years of age with a seat: Charge 75 percent of the applicable
adult fare.
(3) Accompanied infant under 2 years of age without a seat: Charge 10 percent of the applicable adult fare. Ticketing code: Base Fare Code plus IN.
(4) Unaccompanied children 2-11 will not be accepted for travel at fares governed by this rule.

(S) RULES AND DISCOUNTS NOT APPLICABLE
The following are not applicable:

Rule 205 (Free and Reduced Rate Transportation for Agents)
Rule 210 (Free and Reduced Rate Transportation for Tour Conductors)
