Use of Kenya Air on Star RTW
 

Recently talked to the DL RTW Desk and was informed that Kenya Air could

not be used on a RTW?? ( I thought Kenya was an ST associate due to KLM)

I need to get from JNB to NBO on a RTW, any other way possible??

Current Routing: WAS to DKR on DL

DKR to JNB DL

JNB or CPT to NBO ??

NBO to AMS KLM

AMS to BKK KLM

BKK to NRT NW

NRT to HNL NW

HNL to SFO NE/DL

SFO to WAS DL/CO/NW?

I think they are in the process of joining ST but not officially on board yet. You can definitely use KQ with NW or KLM/AF miles.

None of the announced Skyteam associate members are officially "joined" yet. No word on when they will become "official".

If I were you, I would make the ticket open jawed and buy a one way between JNB and NBO.

Well, an alternative to the skyteam-RTW ticket is the still existing RTW ticket of NW/KL/KQ/CO/EK/MH which is similarly priced. This ticket also has another great advantage compared with the skyteam RTW: in biz it uses the booking class D instead of Z, so it is very much easier to find available seats on any given flight.

Does anybody knows new prices for NW/KL/KQ/CO/EK/MH+ RTW package to purchase in UK or Euro zone for economy 40.000 miles? YRWWJ40
