CO.COM quote:Mileage Accrual Chart--Alitalia (AZ) flight number on ticket for Alitalia- and Alitalia Express-operated flights

and of course they say this too:All other fare classes do not accrue mileage. Continental Airlines and Alitalia reserve the right to change the eligible fare classes at any time without notice.

thank you for any help you can provide

I can't speak for all skyteam programs, but I know that KL/AF would be trouble. Is CY a CO partner airline? If yes, then you should be able to make an argument here. Best idea is, give OP a call and find out.

My understanding is that the CY flights will earn nothing in CO/NW/DL. I intend to credit the AZ operated flights to CO, and the rest to AZ.

I also think this is not officially permitted by CO...they say you must credit an entire trip to a single program....but think I will get away with this so long as all eligible CO flights (AZ op) have my CO number on them, and all CY flights have my AZ #.
