Multi- Segment award

im looking to make a multi segment award, almos like an RTW but it is not considered and RTW. i either need to go NYC-TLV-MNL or TLV-MNL-NYC . the reason i dont want to do an RTW is because i dont have enough miles. any ideas? i have miles in either DL or CO. thnks

It ain't gonna work the way you want it to.

The only way I can see it working reasonably is for 2 awards

NYC-TLV-NYC then NYC MNL-NYC (or vice versa)

A OW award ticket is the same cost in miles as a RT.

TLV is considered a part of Europe with respect to Skyteam.

As for NYC-TLV-MNL-NYC

This would be a N. America-Europe-Asia-N. America (no layover is alowed in this one without a RTW ticket) routing which would be either 1 RTW award or 3 trans-oceanic OW awards (which is the same cost in miles as 3 transoceanic RT awards) I know that Europe to Asia is not really trans-oceanic, but it is treated that way as far as the awards are concerned.

To summerize how I see your options:

1. One RTW award NYC-TLV-MNL-NYC

2. Two intercontinental RT awards NYC-TLV-NYC and NYC-MNL-NYC.

or

3. Three OW intercontinental awards (that cost the same as three RT intercontinental awards) NYC-TLV-MNL-NYC.

Choose your poison.

i appreciate your help. first of all i assume OW is one way award. from what i understnd delta and CO do not offer one way awards. my goal is to spend as little miles as possible. i know an award rtw is 140k miles. how much will the options you gave cost? thnks

How short of the award are you?
You could do an open-jaw award NYC-TLV (or AMM)/MNL-NYC for 70/80k
Then buy a One-way flight on Gulf Air AMM-MNL for $353

As far as I know, the only SkyTeam partner which considers TLV to be part of Europe is Alitalia.

A TLV-JFK-TLV award ticket costs an AZ Millemiglia member 50,000 miles in Coach, the same as a r/t to JFK would cost from any European city.

But DL, CO, and AF all require 80,000 miles for the same r/t ticket and have TLV listed as being in the Middle East, not Europe.

Skyteam considers Israel as a part of Europe in it's RTW ticketing. (I know because I "backtracked" to it on my RTW that finished 2 weeks ago using KLM, AZ, and AF.

If you don't have 140K miles to spend, then you don't have enough miles to make the trip. The RTW is the cheapest in miles your going to find.
