Skyteam RTW 2nd reward ticket free offer
Saw this while reading the airfrance.com website:
Travel around the world with a companion of your choice
For a limited time only, SkyTeam is offering the 2nd reward ticket free when
you book a round the world reward ticket.
Your trip must not include more than six stopovers (maximum of three per
continent). You may depart from virtually any city and fly on any Skyteam
airline but you must travel in only one direction (east-west or west-east) and
make a transatlantic and transpacific flight.
Connections* (1 to 4 zones) are free for residents of Europe (except Ile de
France) and North Africa.
Two baggage of 32 kilos per person are allowed.
As usual, you are responsable for taxes.
To reserve** your SkyTeam around the world ticket, send a request by mail or
fax to Frquence Plus in Valencia (California), Ivry or Wembley three weeks
before your intended date of departure. Travel must take place between April
15th and June 30th, 2002.
Itinirerary changes after your ticket is issued is allowed but with
restrictions.
* Even if the routing is in the same or opposite direction from departure city.
** Both tickets must be reserved and issued with the same flights, itinerary
and passengers.

sounds interesting, but...
What kind of dollars would we be looking at? Class or fare code restrictions?
OOPS... in a closer reading of the posting, it says a REWARD ticket. So, can you book this using Delta miles? How many miles?
I tried to go to their web site and find more info, but... www.airfrance.com took forever to load, and going to the next page was impossible. www.airfrance.com/us was a bit better, but finding anything was impossible.

This is the first time I can recall having to mail or fax "to reserve." Are you suggesting that this offer is not available with a simple phone call to AF?
