I think MH would be very handy as well...still, always nice to have more travel options within an alliance.

And MH. And KQ.

(And UX would greatly improve connections to Latin America from Europe so we'll finally be able to fly into SSA, among other places)

Would love to have MH and KQ, but what about to the South Pacific? Since QA and NZ are already in OW and *A, I guess we can only hope for Air Tahiti Nui!

There has been speculation on the DL board that leads some to expect DL to offer some service to Australia, at least. The current SKY magazine (DL's inflight magazine) has an interview with a DL exec who states that it is DL's intention to fly to all continents. One possible approach would be to have a HNL-SYD flight that would gain feed from EWR and IAH(CO), MSP, SEA and DTW (NW) and SFO, LAX, SLC, CVG and ATL (DL). The HNL-SYD flight would be THE Skyteam flight to Australia.

But I thought United, ANZ and Qantas were the only ones allowed to fly b/t Australia and the US?

Good news about Aeroflot! Now what about MH?

That would be news to CO as Air Mike has flown to OZ for at least 30 years.

Any US airline can fly to any point in Australia (and vice versa)

Correct. Hence why HA operates a HNL-SYD flight.

Why doesn't other US airlines do so when that route seems to be so profitable. Even Singapore air and Emirates are trying to get into that route and fares are currently almost untouchable. also there are two other Pacific airlines fying that route in addition to HA as per orbitz. I would like to see all Virgin brands, TAM, Nationwide, Kenya airways, China airlines, (one mainline china carrier), one indian carrier, MH in ST. *A is getting pricy and needs competition. Also I could not see any article on Aeroflot

Now that D-Day is April 14th, should I credit my Aeroflot flight/miles to DL or SU on my LAX-SVO-LAX flight Apr15-19 ? I am currently DL Gold and SU with 16k miles.
