If you live in Europe, and unless you happen to be in/around BKK, I wouldn't bother buying a RTW from Bangkok. Just go to any European travel agent and buy one ex-Croatia (ZAG or SPU). I think it's $5000 for 29000 miles in C (check the gnopps site)

If you're trying to route BKK-SYD-PPT on a RTW ticket with SkyTeam, get ready to be disappointed. BKK-SYD can only be done via ICN on KE. And getting to PPT is similarly difficult. On the plus side, if you make it to PPT you can pick up PPT-LAX on AF to get back into North America, where there is reasonable route coverage in the alliance.

On the plus side, you can get to BKK on AF/KL/AZ/SU from Europe, and you can always continue on to NRT on NW if the South Pacific ends up not being in your routing.

RTW award on ST?
 

I just noticed today that RTW awards on ST are significantly cheaper than ones on *A - 140/220/280 vs. 200/300/400, at least according to DL and US websites, respectively. 220k for business class RTW seems like a great deal.

If anyone here has gotten a ST RTW award, can you share your experience on how available flights were?

Apart from the obvious problems with flights from/to Oceania (only KE fly there, not sure when CZ will be part of ST RTWs) and some difficulties in getting transpac availability (there are no flights from Asia to S. America whatsoever, and even the NRT-MEX is a recent addition), you shouldn't have any problems.
I had done a bit of research but not ticketed it (it required going via the USA and I didn't fancy the hassle).
Note that the "first class" award will likely still land you in business, as only KE and AF offer first class, and they are not particularly generous about giving out these seats for award bookings.

There is a whole sticky thread on this forum with a ton of relevant information about booking RTWs and the value therein.

To answer some of your specific questions, depending on the carrier you book with (ie whose miles you use) the F reward gets you absolutely nothing over business. If you use CO miles and want to fly CO BF then you need to use an F award. If you book via KE or AF/KL you can get F on AF. Otherwise you can't get into any "real" F cabin. There are also some issues with how the bookings play out on domestic US routes, but I can't speak to all those permutations.

Availability is no different for RTW than it is for other reward trips, which is to say that it takes some effort and flexibility to put one together, but it can definitely be done.

Where can I find pricing for RTWSK4 (26,000 miles)? I checked the Excell spreadsheet posted in this thread, but it does not mention the 26,000 miles option.
Are paid RTWs still a good bargain, or does it not makes sense? Better to buy a bunch of one-way tickets?

The more I think about it, the less RTW fares make sense.
For instance, RTWSKY3 ex US in coach is $3800, not including fuel surcharges and taxes. When the full 29,000 miles are used, the cost is >13 cpm. Seems very pricey to me.

Most RTW tickets don't make that much sense to me. I can usually piece together better deals myself. I'd look at a Biz deal out of Asia, to Europe or maybe Africa. Then find a Africa-Europe-South America deal. I'd think you could find deals for about $4-5k in Biz class, if you're not too pick on your carriers. It will take some real work, as many of the good biz fares are available only from travel agents.
