Singapore Air and Skyteam

I vaguely recall hearing a few months ago that Singapore air was about to bolt the Star Alliance and join Skyteam. Whatever happened to that?

Rumors are usually worth what you pay for them.

Now that's interesting. If any Asian carrier is thinking of bolting from *A it would probably be TG. But to whom? From what I've read over on the *A board, SQ's entrance into *A has benefited SQ tremendously at the expense of TG.

Forgive me please but I too am rather skeptical!

Why ponder if SQ or TG will join the wonderful SkyTeam when we already have KE and maybe soon CI. If DL keeps this up, we might even get Philippine Airlines as another Asian partner http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Truly an embarrassment of riches!
