SkyTeam Alliance Launches SkyTeamNet; New Technology Will Improve Customer Service

Consistent with SkyTeam's commitment to provide customers with the most enhanced benefits, SkyTeam today announced the launch of SkyTeamNet, a communications network designed to improve the customer experience through better coordination between its member airlines. By facilitating the speedy transfer of flight information between carriers, customers of all five SkyTeam airlines, Aeromexico, Air France, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL - news) and Korean Air, will benefit from automated accrual of frequent flyer miles in the program of the SkyTeam airline of their choice, no matter what airline they fly. Select SkyTeam airlines also have begun to share schedule change information, keeping customers to up to date with changes to their future SkyTeam flight.

SkyTeam has awarded SITA a three-year contract to provide a dedicated Internet protocol (IP) network that will enable both current and future functionality on SkyTeamNet.
